Bug\u00fcn bile bu tarihi ve co\u011frafi ger\u00e7eklikten hareketle kimi \u00e7evreler Singapur\u2019un bir Malay d\u00fcnyas\u0131 oldu\u011fu s\u00f6ylemini g\u00fcndeme getirmektedirler. Tam da burada nas\u0131l oldu da Singapur\u2019un Malay d\u00fcnyas\u0131n\u0131n d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda kald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 sormak gerekir. Bu soruya nisbeten a\u015fa\u011f\u0131da cevap vermeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015faca\u011f\u0131m. Ancak \u015fimdilik \u015fu kadar\u0131n\u0131 s\u00f6yleyebiliriz. Hindistan\u2019a yerle\u015fmi\u015f, Bengalde\u015f\u2019te ticari faaliyetlerini s\u00fcrd\u00fcren bir yandan da \u00c7in\u2019e uzanan \u0130ngiliz Do\u011fu Hint \u015eirketi\u2019nin y\u00f6neticileri, bu iki farkl\u0131 medeniyetin ve de co\u011frafyan\u0131n ortas\u0131nda giderek daha fazla g\u00fcvenlik sorunu ile kar\u015f\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131ya kald\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, belki de kendi anavatanlar\u0131 \u0130ngiliz Adalar\u0131\u2019ndan ilhamla gene \u00e7areyi adalar ba\u011flant\u0131s\u0131 ile kurulacak g\u00fcvenlik hatt\u0131na ba\u011flamak zorunda kald\u0131lar. \u00d6zellikle 17. y\u00fczy\u0131l \u0130ngiliz ve Hollanda s\u00f6m\u00fcrgecili\u011finin G\u00fcneydo\u011fu Asya\u2019da k\u0131yas\u0131ya m\u00fccadelelerinin geli\u015fme kaydetti\u011fi y\u00fczy\u0131l oldu. \u00d6nce Cava Adas\u0131\u2019ndaki ticaret liman \u015fehirlerinden \u00e7ekilen \u0130ngilizler, &#8211; Hollanda\u2019n\u0131n Cava ve ard\u0131ndan Sumatra Adas\u0131\u2019nda da giderek geni\u015fleyen hakimiyeti neticesinde- 1780\u2019li y\u0131llarda Malaka Yar\u0131madas\u0131\u2019n\u0131n g\u00fcneyinden fer\u00e2gat etiklerinin il\u00e2n\u0131 say\u0131lacak \u015fekilde G\u00fcney Sumatra\u2019n\u0131n \u00f6nemli \u015fehri Bencoolen\u2019dan ayr\u0131lmak zorunda kald\u0131lar.<a href=\"file:\/\/\/D:\/ACEH%20BLOG%20MURAT\/AAAYEN%C4%B0%20G%C4%B0R%C4%B0LEN%20MET%C4%B0NLER.docx#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\" title=\"\">[3]<\/a>&nbsp; Asl\u0131nda bu geli\u015fme, 17 Mart 1824 tarihinde imzalanan Londra Anla\u015fmas\u0131 ile Malaka Bo\u011faz\u0131\u2019n\u0131n kuzey\u2013g\u00fcney b\u00f6l\u00fc\u015fmesinin alt yap\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 haz\u0131rlayan \u00f6nemlibir unsur olarak tel\u00e2kki edilebilir. Bu s\u00fcre\u00e7, Hindistan-\u00c7in deniz ticaretinin g\u00fcvenlik sorununun Do\u011fu Hint \u015eirketi\u2019nin devam m\u0131 tamam m\u0131 ka\u00e7\u0131n\u0131lmazl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ile y\u00fczle\u015fmelerinin sonucu Penang Adas\u0131\u2019n\u0131n hakimiyeti ile ba\u015flayan yeni bir s\u00fcrecin tetikleyicisi oldu. Bu sularda kaptanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ile tan\u0131nan Francis Light, daha 1770\u2019li y\u0131llar\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131ndan itibaren Genel Valisine sundu\u011fu \u201clahiyalar\u201d ile Penang Adas\u0131\u2019na konu\u015flan\u0131lmas\u0131 konusundaki \u00f6nerisini \u0131srara d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcrd\u00fc. Malaka Bo\u011faz\u0131\u2019n\u0131n g\u00fcneyinde Sumatra ve Cava\u2019daki Hollanda varl\u0131\u011f\u0131 giderek emperyalizme evrilirken, hedefleri aras\u0131na Malay Yar\u0131madas\u0131\u2019n\u0131 da koyuyordu. Buna kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k, \u0130ngilizler Penang\u2019\u0131n varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n yetersizli\u011fini fark etmekle do\u011fu-bat\u0131 aras\u0131nda g\u00fcvenlik \u015feridinde alternatif \u00fcs aray\u0131\u015f\u0131na girdi\u011finde Thomas Stamford Raffles\u2019\u0131n Singapur Adas\u0131\u2019n\u0131 ke\u015ffetti\u011fine tan\u0131k oluruz. Singapur Adas\u0131, o d\u00f6nemde Riau\u2019da, yani bug\u00fcnk\u00fc Sumatra Adas\u0131\u2019n\u0131n do\u011fusunda konu\u015flanm\u0131\u015f olan Cohor Sultanl\u0131\u011f\u0131\u2019na ba\u011fl\u0131 neredeyse at\u0131l vaziyette bir bal\u0131k\u00e7\u0131 k\u00f6y\u00fcyd\u00fc. T\u0131pk\u0131 Light\u2019\u0131n yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi Raffles da, Singapur\u2019a -Cohor Sultanl\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki iktidar m\u00fccadelesinden de istifade ile- c\u00fczi miktara sat\u0131n almas\u0131 \u2013asl\u0131nda 1824\u2019e kadar \u00f6denen c\u00fczi kira bedelinin ard\u0131ndan \u0130ngiliz mal\u0131 olmas\u0131yla, t\u00fcm b\u00f6lgenin bug\u00fcne kadar uzanan kaderini etkileyecek bir geli\u015fmeye imza att\u0131. \u0130ngiliz s\u00f6m\u00fcrgecili\u011finin tipik \u201cb\u00f6l-y\u00f6net\u201d projesine Malaya topraklar\u0131nda yeni bir a\u00e7\u0131l\u0131m getirdi\u011fi g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr.
